In the Heart of Cambrai: Atawa Sets Up a Festival Village for Terres de Jim Event

The Terres de Jim event, which took place from September 8 to 10, 2023, at Rue de Solesmes, 59400 Cambrai, has left a lasting impression with its magnitude, gathering 500,000 guests in a family-friendly, welcoming, and festive atmosphere.

To meet the needs of this large-scale event, Atawa implemented over 6000 m² of structures to accommodate exhibitor stands as well as various animations for an audience of all ages. The range of equipment set up varied from 9 m² tents to impressive 1000 m² structures. Atawa took care of the layout of the partner tents, enriching the space with varied signage, from pediments to the creation of storage spaces and diverse style arches, not forgetting to provide the necessary equipment for video broadcasting inside the stands. The focus was on supplying a large number of reception tents and pagodas, transforming the site into a real ephemeral village. More than 3500 m² of these structures were erected during an assembly that stretched over nearly ten days.

Challenges and Technical Solutions

One of Atawa's added values in the realization of this project was its ability to overcome the challenges posed by inclement weather. Indeed, several storms and rainy episodes rendered the ground impracticable for much of the assembly, thereby slowing down the installation. Despite these obstacles, Atawa managed to deliver the project on time, thus ensuring client satisfaction. Moreover, the adjustment of the necessary leveling, determined only one to two weeks before the event after plowing the field, demonstrated the team's flexibility and adaptability to unforeseen events.
