Installation of a majestic Orangery at Château Lascombes

La Semaine des Primeurs, a prestigious event organised by the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (UGCB), took place from 24 to 27 April 2023.
Atawa was commissioned by the Château Lascombes to create the unique setting for this major event, welcoming over 400 guests in a high-end setting.

Primeurs week: an exceptional wine event

The Semaine des primeurs à is an emblematic annual event in the world of wine. During this week, the châteaux of Bordeaux present their wines, generally from the latest harvest, to wine merchants, critics, wine professionals and wine lovers from all over the world. This week is an opportunity for wine lovers to evaluate their wines while they are still in barrel, offering a preview of the quality and potential of each vintage. This event is therefore a privileged moment combining tastings, passionate exchanges but also wine business transactions, making it an unmissable appointment for wine lovers and professionals in the sector.

A majestic structure for this professional event in Margaux

For the organisation of this high-end eventnear Bordeaux, an elegant and bright Orangery of 384 m² was installed opposite Château Lascombes. The transparency of the Orangerie's windows offered an exceptional view of the Château's green façade. This modular and customisable installation is ideal for any type of private or business event taking place in a prestigious setting, and was perfectly suited to this exceptional reception.

Overcoming the challenge of sloping terrain for this event near Bordeaux

The site presented a significant constraint, with a height difference of around one metre. Atawa adapted to the specific nature of the space with the installation of a raised and levelled floor, as well as a framed floor dedicated to the catering area.
A tailor-made event décor was developed to sublimate this exceptional event in Margaux. Made-to-measure specially designed for the event were installed for the main access, embellished with wooden railings on either side, while a ramp dedicated to people with reduced mobility was delicately arranged on the side of the Orangery.

Particular attention to detail for a top-of-the-range experience

In keeping with the prestigious character of this event in Margaux, every detail was carefully planned and executed. 
We enhanced the interior and exterior of the orangery with an elegant carpet made from coconut fibre, a choice that was both aesthetically pleasing and functional. As well as adding a touch of elegance, this carpet proved to be low-maintenance, ensuring an impeccable appearance throughout the event. We carefully installed it on the steps leading up to the orangery and in the vat room, the area used for wine-making. A skirting of the floor completed this decoration for a perfect finish. 

To ensure the comfort of all guests, we have installed a premium sanitary caravan near the orangery. This type of sanitary installation can be dressed up to fit in perfectly with the ambience of the event.

Every detail of the furniture and tableware has been carefully thought out to create an atmosphere that is both refined and convivial. Under the main tent, guests were able to lounge on the Chaises Montaignes Cannées, bringing a touch of classicism to the whole affair. The tables were adorned with an assortment of cream and pastel blue Dentelle Plates and the line of Mother of Pearl Cutlery.

The outdoor furnishings were designed to harmonise with the natural charm of the Orangerie. Comfortable Bistrot Chairs, embellished with linen galettes for optimum comfort, invited guests to enjoy the outdoor setting. Bistro side tables have been cleverly arranged, providing practical spaces for socialising. Elegant parasols have been carefully installed to provide shade from the summer sun, creating shady islands for relaxed conversation;

Furniture from the Bali range was also incorporated into the outdoor layout. The sofa, sofas and coffee table from this collection added a touch of modernity and comfort, inviting guests to relax in an outdoor lounge area.

An unforgettable first impression for this wine event at Château Lascombes

It's worth noting that this Semaine des Primeurs was particularly special. It was the first time that the new owners of Château Lascombes had hosted this prestigious event. Wishing to mark the occasion, they paid particular attention to every detail.

We worked closely with Karine, who is in charge of public relations at Château Lascombes. Together, we chose materials that combined finesse and functionality. These combined efforts helped to make this Semaine des Primeurs a memorable success, demonstrating that attention to detail can really make a difference when organising an event of this scale.
