A timeless reception between forest and pond

For this special wedding, Atawa was asked to organise a unique reception in the middle of nature and in the atmosphere of a forgotten era. Two watchwords: elegance and comfort for this wedding reception near the town of Celle-les-Bordes in the Ile-de-France.

A wedding in the middle of nature in a complex context

The organisation of this event was a real challenge for the Atawa team, who wanted to offer the best to the two newlyweds. Thus, the party took place in a sanitary context imposing curfews, barrier gestures and guest restrictions, but there was no question of missing the celebration! 

It was therefore decided to hold the reception in the middle of nature, far from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding towns and villages, on a plain situated between a forest and a lovely pond.
The 100 guests were able to enjoy a peaceful setting during the day and a pleasant festive atmosphere. For the occasion, a DJ was installed on the terrace, to make the guests dance by the pond. An unforgettable and magical moment for our newlyweds. 
As the past year has not been kind to family gatherings, this wedding was also an opportunity to make up for lost time and allow four guests to blow out the candles of their past anniversary. Judging by the smiles and the happy mood, we can now say that the challenge was successfully met!

A reception with a vintage theme

Thanks to our vintage wedding furniture rental service, we were able to create a real timeless bubble for our loving couple.

The programme included a silhouette tent of more than 220 m² to shelter all guests from the sun. This was placed on a warm wooden floor, which was extended into a large terrace overlooking the pond. To keep the cocooning atmosphere comfortable, the lighting was composed with decorative garlands and spotlights specially designed for the silhouette tents. 
As far as the vintage furniture is concerned, we wanted to offer our wedding couple a real trip back in time. The tables and chairs in the main room were made of mismatched wood, as were the rugs. The tables were dressed with vintage crockery and old tablecloths, always with the idea of transporting the guests back to the last century.

A relaxing space in the middle of nature

The vintage furniture hire for the wedding also included outdoor elements. With the aim of providing a warm and comfortable space, lounges with sofas and rattan furniture were created. The whole area was dressed with floral tablecloths and rugs with old-fashioned patterns. 
When the DJ was not playing on his podium, guests could relax on the terrace by the pond and enjoy the unique setting. Of course, guests also had a lovely sanitary caravan nearby.

A perfected reception for a wedding in the middle of the day

Atawa's strength lies in its ability to offer a turnkey solution adapted to each request and universe. Thus, the wedding of our tourteau couple was planned well in advance. The tent and furniture were set up before the big day and everything was managed by an efficient team. The bride and groom, their family and friends just had to enjoy the event, without worrying about any organisation. A coordinator was also present throughout the wedding day to ensure that the reception ran smoothly, in collaboration with the caterer and DJ.
