Ethnic wedding in Normandy

Ethnic wedding in Normandy

Wedding reception in the colours of Africa

Disregarding the countless comments about the weather in the North, these newlyweds took on an original challenge: to organise a wedding in the Hauts de France against a backdrop of ethnic decor and a tropical atmosphere.

Rental of the classic reception tent and African decoration

Organised at the end of June 2018 at the groom's private property in the Hauts-de-France region, the ceremony dinner brought together no less than 200 guests. To welcome them, the couple had opted for a classic Atawa Reception tent, whose modular aluminium structure allows a wide choice of decoration. And when it came to the theme of the evening, the bride and groom had a very precise idea of what they wanted... In short, to bring Africa to their table. It's simple, isn't it?

To fulfil their wish and give the tent a warm look, Atawa provided the couple with exotic-looking wooden chairs and hanging lights. The couple also opted for natural lighting thanks to a crystal roof in the middle of the tent, placed right above the bride and groom's table.

A successful original and exotic wedding

To complete this ethnic decor, each round table was decorated with a magnificent bouquet of tropical plants and pieces of Wax fabric, arranged as table centres and napkin rings. The little extra? An ice bucket with a bottle of rosé to keep you cool throughout the evening.
The couple had thought of using these decorative elements at the DJ's table. Framed by two life-size African statuettes, the DJ was able to keep the guests dancing until the early hours of the morning...
There is no doubt that the bride and groom won their bet with flying colours.
