Country chic wedding in Indre-et-Loire
Outdoor wedding reception in Centre Val de Loire
Marie and Nicolas said yes to each other on 7 September 2019, in Saint-Jean-Saint-Germain. To celebrate their wedding they chose to hire a bamboo marquee, set up in the grounds of the magnificent château de Saint-Germain in the Ile-de-France region.
A wedding in the Indre-et-Loire countryside
Wishing to take advantage of the sublime Indian summer days of September, the couple opted for an outdoor wedding, in harmony with the surrounding nature. Bringing together 250 guests, the event took place in a magnificent setting of vegetation, in the park of the Château de Saint-Germain, in the Centre-Val de Loire region. An exceptional building, whose construction is a mixture of periods dating from the 11th, 14th and 18th centuries.
A natural setting in the middle of the countryside, which made Marie and Nicolas want to organise a chic country wedding. Offering the couple a comprehensive package for the cocktail party and dinner, Atawa suggested that they hire a 300m2 rectangular Bamboo marquee for the evening, sheltered by the park's hundred-year-old trees.
Country atmosphere in every detail
The structure was illuminated with a starry sky light and spotlights, and was supported by bamboo poles, which accentuated the rural effect. Even better, bales of hay placed at the entrance of the tent immersed the guests in a bucolic atmosphere, which went hand in hand with the blue sky that reigned on that Saturday.
The cocktail party was held a little further away, at the foot of the castle towers. A 160 m2 Lycra canvas was set up for the occasion, with wooden furniture and pedestal tables all around, decorated with colourful bouquets of flowers.
Note that Atawa provided forced-air heating in the Bamboo tent for the evening, and that the Lycra fabric for the cocktail party was made of water-repellent fabric... And yes, for an autumn outdoor wedding in September, prevention is better than cure!
