Country wedding near Bourges
Wedding reception in a castle in the Cher
The Château de la Verrerie is celebrating a big wedding in a masterly and rural setting. Atawa participated in the organisation of this wedding near Bourges in the Cher region.
It is a place that looks like France. It is its pulpit, its green lung in the Cher. At the crossroads of Berry and Sologne, close to Bourges, a sumptuous residence has been watching over the ponds for a long time now: the Château de la Verrerie. Last September, the old walls woke up to welcome the 250 guests who came to feast and surround the newlyweds.
Atawa brought a breath of fresh air to the castle by offering its furniture and marquees...
Atawa set up the courtyard of the Château de Verrerie for the wedding cocktail
Oysters, pan-fried foie gras, skewers of smoked duck breast, grilled prawns... All these tasty victuals were offered to the guests during the cocktail party under five pretty 25 m2 pagodas installed by Atawa in the courtyard of the château. To enjoy them while chatting with the guests, wrought iron chairs and pedestal tables had been placed on the gravel... The caterer, for his part, officiated under a 50 m2 pagoda tent, hidden next door.
But also the setting for the country dinner in the illuminated gallery of the castle
Atawa not only took over the courtyard but also the castle grounds. Once the sun had set and the famous cocktail had been consumed, the guests moved to the long glassed-in gallery overlooking the wooded park for dinner. Large banquet tables surrounded by wooden folding chairs had been set up. The romantic country atmosphere was enhanced by the warm, amber lighting, also provided by Atawa. On this late summer evening, the coolness that crept in was compensated for by the forced-air heating at each end of the dining room.
At the end of the dinner, the gallery was transformed into a dance hall, until the end of the night...while others sipped their coffee in the pretty illuminated courtyard. Spotlights showed the magnificent facade of the castle lit up, contributing to a magical and romantic atmosphere.
The next day, in the area, Atawa the nomad participated in the brunch in another private property, providing the furniture: tables and benches to welcome the exhausted revellers...
