Shooting a culinary project in partnership with Veuve Clicquot
Equipment rental for a culinary filming project!
In addition to weddings, bar mitzvahs, seminars, festivals and other large-scale events, the ATAWA agency can be called upon to work on special projects, including the filming of a culinary event.
The objective here was to bring together 5 top chefs from all over Europe, along with the media and various culinary influencers, at the Manoir de Verzy, a historic site belonging to Veuve Cliquot; a complex organization requiring the ability to accommodate a large number of people in a venue combining the comfort of a kitchen and the space essential for a television set. For this event, we opted for one of the following solutions: tent rental for filming; we explain everything to you.
An extraordinary cooking competition in a crystal tent
To bring together our five Michelin-starred chefs, the public and the media, we chose to rent a filming tent known as the "Cristal". This transparent 15x20-meter tent covers an area of 300 m², while allowing us to admire the exceptional setting of the Manoir de Verzy.
We had to adapt the floor and cut it out at certain strategic points to run the cables and sockets required for the kitchen equipment to be used by our professionals, in addition to the compulsory safety lighting!
ATAWA also worked on the chefs' workstations. To match the woody feel of the floor, they were covered with wood-effect formwork made from plywood and imitation-wood printed tarpaulin.
Finally, we covered the floor's base with a skirting. The aim here was to provide a visual rendering that was both safe and impeccable for the public, the chefs and the cameras.
Smooth shooting despite threatening weather
Despite the difficulties systematically engendered by such an event, the professionals at ATAWA were able to cope without a hitch. This required additional teams specialized in handling heavy loads.
Faced with the inclement weather forecast for the weekend of the shoot, the agency decided to anticipate the rain and close the tent; this was necessary in view of all the electronic equipment and household appliances on site. As a result, we decided to bring in 2 technicians to remove the tarpaulins on Monday morning at 6 a.m., just before the event. As a result, the event was able to take place under much milder skies, without a hint of rain.
ATAWA is capable of handling large-scale events, thanks to the versatility of its equipment and professionals. We cater for all types of corporate events, as well as personal meetings and family events, such as weddings and other private functions.
