Panasonic exhibition stand in Cannes

Panasonic exhibition stand in Cannes

Custom stand design at the Cannes Film Festival

Last May, Atawa went to the Croisette to build a customised stand for the electronics brand Panasonic, official partner of the Cannes Film Festival in 2019. Taking place at the Majestic Hotel, facing the Mediterranean Sea, this corporate event was sure to be a flash in the pan.

Creating an exhibition stand in record time in Cannes

Wishing to showcase the various models of its Lumix Pro range of cameras during the Cannes Film Festival, Panasonic called on Atawa to set up a customised stand in the shortest possible time. Indeed, contacted three weeks before the beginning of the festival - on May 13th - Atawa had to think and concretize the project in a record time. To do this, the team went to the event 48 hours after the client's request, in order to carry out a technical visit and propose an adapted solution, as the Majestic Hotel in Cannes was difficult to access and the dimensions were very precise.

Following this express round trip, a 3D design was produced and presented to Panasonic: a 3m x 6m Crystal Bridge Structure with a self-ballasted floor covered in wood-effect lino. In addition, custom-made transparent curtains were added to easily close the stand at night and a white canopy to protect the cameras from the sun during the day.
Once the project was validated, the material was ordered in order to receive it on time.

Digital printing for a stunning wood effect

As a result, the lino deck structure was installed on time on the outdoor terrace of the 5-star hotel. Located next to the swimming pool, between the palm trees and the red parasols, the Panasonic area saw many personalities come and go. Guests were delighted to see the SLRs and lenses, and also praised the success of the stand's wood-print effect. The space was chic and warm and blended in perfectly with the decor, a sublime art deco building dating from the 20th century.
