A secular ceremony in a garden for an intimate wedding

When it comes to events, a bit of creativity mixed with a spoonful of imagination is all it takes to turn any venue into a special place. A challenge that wedding planner Sandy Tubiana - with 15 years of experience in the field - and Atawa took up last July. Working hand in hand, the two teams organised an ultra-personalised country-style secular ceremony for the couple, who preferred to get married in the softness of a summer day rather than in a town hall. The reception venue was therefore set up in the bride and groom's garden in Sèvres, in the Ile-de-France region.

Cérémonie de mariage en extérieur ambiance champêtre

An outdoor ceremony organised on private property often provides more emotion, especially if there is a particular attachment to the place. A wedding at home is more personalised and allows for greater creativity, while respecting the technical constraints naturally imposed by the surface. For this wedding in the Ile-de-France in Sèvres, the Lycra tent seemed to be the ideal structure, as it was extensible and could be modulated as desired. The waterproof fabric was fixed directly on site thanks to two guyed poles, and points of attachment on the ground, in the trees and on the house, obviously without drilling anything!
To do this, Atawa carried out a technical visit beforehand with a technician specialising in Lycra fabric in order to anticipate the installation. The tailor-made design required precise measurements to cover the entire outdoor area, a non-rectangular space of 220 m2.

An outdoor ceremony with country-style decoration

As for the decoration, Sandy Tubiana opted for a country atmosphere with wooden furniture, such as benches for the ceremony and bars for the cocktail party. In order to allow guests to enjoy their glass of champagne in the shade of the surrounding vegetation, sofas, armchairs and other seats were also installed in ecru colour to remain in harmony with the natural setting of the event.

An outdoor ceremony with a country theme

In order to create a romantic and elegant atmosphere, the wedding planner planned the installation of white and green floral arrangements. These were placed naturally on the furniture but also at the foot of the benches to create an aisle for the bride and groom.

To complete this custom installation and in addition to the lycra structure, Atawa rented two Pagoda tents to create a small catering office, two autonomous sanitary cabins and 20 spotlights to illuminate the garden, thanks to the installation of a small generator and the organisation of a technical permanence during the event.

The couple was therefore able to serenely enjoy this emotional day with their family and loved ones without having to worry about the technical aspects.
