New IKEA collection

Original product launch in Paris

On 28 September, Atawa worked closely with Zmirov Communication for the launch party of the new "Still Loading" collection by Swedish brand IKEA and designer Virgil Abloh. The challenge: to sublimate and cover the terrace of the Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris in record time.

We all know the Swedish furniture giant: IKEA. The brand has teamed up with renowned designer Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White, to create "Still Loading": a collection of rugs to be released in autumn 2019. For the official launch party, Atawa and its teams installed a large 150 m² white Lycra waterproof canvas and garlands on the terrace of the Cité de la Mode et du Design. Aesthetically pleasing and flexible, the canvas was perfectly suited to the trendy, industrial atmosphere of the venue. The guests kept an eye on the collection leaning against the edge of the dance floor of Nuits Fauves, a club located on the ground floor. Magical!

A last-minute performance

When Zmirov Communication, in charge of organising the launch party for the new IKEA x Virgil Abloh collection, contacted the team two weeks before the big day, they had to be creative and responsive! In record time, Atawa did everything possible to propose and install the most suitable event infrastructure for the reception venue, to cover the terrace and to compensate for possible weather constraints.
