Outdoor stand for the 2019 Paris Air Show

Outdoor stand for the 2019 Paris Air Show

Customised outdoor stand design at the Air Show

This year, Atawa went behind the scenes at the 53rd International Air Show, one of the world's most famous events in the field.

A stand designed from A to Z thanks to carpentry and event decoration work

Being the only ones to respond favourably to the request of the By D Agency, Atawa was given the task of setting up a stand at the International Aeronautics and Space Exhibition held at the Bourget Exhibition Centre from 17 to 23 June. A must-see event, this "meeting place on earth for sky professionals" attracts more than 300,000 visitors every year and in 2019 had 2,453 exhibitors!
Working in the midst of 140 aircraft - Airbus, Boeing, helicopters, drones... - we set up a 7 by 12 metre tent, a custom-made 66 m2 terrace on a tent floor, doors and bay windows, as well as wooden cladding all around the tent. The icing on the cake was the cladding, which was printed on canvas.
The installation took almost a month, after which the agency dressed the inside of the tent and installed pergolas on the terrace.

A complex professional project successfully completed

During the event, Atawa had to deal with a surprise guest: a series of impressive storms. Due to the capricious weather, some of the stands at Le Bourget - including the chalets - had to fight against water infiltration. Alerted, our teams returned to the site several times to anticipate potential incidents. Showing our responsiveness, we also modified the assembly plan during the project, by installing a full cladding on the tent instead of the half cladding initially planned.
The teams also managed the relatively complex logistics of badges and access to Le Bourget.
