A chic, tailor-made smoking room
Construction of an ephemeral smoking room in the Pavillon Gabriel
Earlier this year, the Vivacy laboratory entrusted the organisation of its annual party to the Jaywalk agency. Atawa created and installed a custom-made smoking room on the terrace of the Pavillon Gabriel in Paris to allow guests to move freely from the reception room and get some fresh air while being protected from the rain.
A chic and green temporary smoking room
A few months ago, the incredible Pavillon Gabriel, which belongs to the House of Potel and Chabot, hosted the annual Vivacy laboratory party. For the occasion, Atawa had to show its ingenuity to create and install a custom-made smoking room on the terrace of this emblematic place, all in glass and transparency.
Like a greenhouse, the 35 m² enclosed deck structure provided shelter for the 400 guests who wanted to smoke, move around freely or simply take a few minutes to get some fresh air. Custom-made with a crystal canvas and aluminium poles, it was connected to the Pavilion's façade and integrated perfectly with the main plant wall. The blue spotlights installed by an external contractor matched the orange colour of the radiant heaters supplied by Atawa. A chic and intimate atmosphere reigned in this unique smoking room that protected guests from the vagaries of the weather. And just as well, because it rained all evening!
An Atawa solution for every problem
Throughout the preparations for the event, Atawa and its teams were very responsive and provided solutions to every problem.
The smokehouse was created from a custom-built bridge structure to adapt to the constraints of the site and to highlight the vegetation of the Pavillon Gabriel. Two custom-built doors were built to guarantee emergency exits and the proper circulation of the public in the event of an evacuation. To power the radiant heaters, Atawa's technical teams and partners made every effort to install cabling from inside the Pavillon Gabriel to the bridge structure.
Atawa's responsiveness was greatly appreciated by Jaywalk, which was able to fully concentrate on the rest of the evening's organisation. A real relationship of trust and a great collaboration for both teams!
