Public event in Paris

Public event in Paris

Event installations for a public event

Last October, CENTQUATRE Paris and Atawa imagined and installed a travelling event in the Paris region to present a project of European scope: the Grand Paris Express, to the institutions and to all the inhabitants of the Paris region.

Installation of a nomadic tent in the public space

With 200 kilometres of automatic lines and 68 stations, the Grand Paris Express is THE largest urban public transport project in Europe! To inform Parisians about this titanic project and the progress of the work, CENTQUATRE Paris, a place of cultural cooperation, and the Atawa teams have imagined a travelling event in the Paris region: three emblematic locations, a huge Stretch tent open to the outside world, and playful and innovative installations. This was a major challenge for Atawa, which supplied and installed the entire event infrastructure.

An event project designed from A to Z

For three consecutive weeks, institutions and the general public were able to discover their future metro under a beige Stretch tent of nomadic inspiration. Stretched on eucalyptus poles and open to the outside, it was perfectly adapted to the different locations and to the furniture chosen for the occasion: a natural floor on a frame supplied and installed by Atawa experts, wooden furniture on wheels to display 3D models of the Grand Paris Express or interactive videos, and a space with wooden tables and stools where young and old alike could get information and discuss the project freely.

And for those who wanted to have a good time, everything was provided! Between the LED spotlights that lit up every corner of the Strech tent, the music stage set up in the middle and the deckchairs outside, a "chic and chill" atmosphere reigned in Paris and the surrounding area.
