Ephemeral extension of a house in Paris
A Parisian Christmas in a tent
24 December 2017. In the 16th arrondissement of Paris, a large family gathers in a garden to celebrate Christmas under the snow...
This is the story of a lady who wants to gather her 50 children and grandchildren at her home on the evening of the Nativity. Her living room was too small to accommodate all her guests, so Atawa came up with a solution to help her.
A temporary extension of the house into the garden
The idea? Extend the living room into the garden while maintaining continuity, almost as if nothing had happened. Atawa built a custom-made 18m2 structure. With a crystal roof to watch the snow fall, but also a floor covered with a grey fleece carpet. The stars were not enough to light up the large table with its many delicate and tasty dishes, so Atawa installed independent spotlights with a warm, amber light. And of course, a green Christmas tree decorated the sheltered garden.
A tailor-made offer and exemplary responsiveness
Atawa carried out this event in a very short space of time, always knowing how to adapt to short deadlines and the constraints imposed thanks to its great responsiveness. Access to the garden was complicated, the stairs were narrow, and paintings and furniture had to be protected... Another tailor-made mission successfully accomplished!
